Guide
Getting started
You can start playing instantly as a guest, just hit Play and drop some pieces.
When you're ready, register or log in via the Login link in the top-right corner. An account lets you submit scores to the leaderboards, keep track of your stats and best times, and chat with other players.
Game modes
Blox has one multiplayer mode and a whole stack of single-player modes to grind:
- Multiplayer - battle other players live. Clearing lines sends garbage to your opponents; be the last one standing.
- PC Mode - chain as many Perfect Clears in a row as you can.
- 40 Lines - the classic sprint, clear 40 lines as fast as you can.
- Digger - clear out 10 lines of garbage as fast as possible.
- Survival - hold out against an onslaught of rising garbage for as long as you can.
- The Almost Death - survive on the brink of death for as long as possible, with extreme gravity and a very low lock delay.
- Four Wide - keep a four-wide combo going for as long as you can. Each possible number of residuals (3–6) has its own leaderboard.
- Hyper - rack up as many points as you can in 2 minutes.
- T-Spin Rush - pull off as many T-spins as possible in 2 minutes on a 5×10 board.
- T-Spin Puzzle - land as many T-spins as possible within 100 pieces. There's a twist: you have no hold, and pressing hold instead gives you a T piece, and T pieces can only be placed as a T-spin.
- All-Spin Puzzle - clear as many lines as possible using all-spins, limited to 100 pieces. The board is smaller and hold is disabled.
Controls & settings
Open the settings cog to make Blox your own. Every keybind is rebindable, and there are gamepad/controller and mobile controls too.
Under handling you'll find DAS, ARR and Soft Drop DAS (in milliseconds) so you can tune how the pieces move to your liking.
In the Skinning section you can pick a preset skin, turn on Connected Skin, or paste your own Custom Skin and ghost links to fully customize how the board looks. Animated gif skins work too.
Multiplayer & lobbies
Open the Lobby Browser to create or join a lobby. Give your lobby a name, and set a password if you want to keep it private.
The lobby leader runs the show: they can start the game, change most of the lobby settings (mode, teams, garbage handling and more, even mid-game), and hide players to stop them from playing. Turn on Teams to split the lobby into the Red and Blue teams and battle with team scores.
Clearing lines sends garbage to your opponents. Clear more at once for a bigger hit. In custom lobbies you can also add up to 100 bots to fill things out or to practise against.
