Opener Practice Tool

An opener is a planned sequence of piece placements for the first bag or two of a game, designed to set up early attacks such as T-Spins, Tetrises, or Perfect Clears. Learning a handful of openers is one of the fastest ways to level up at Tetris — instead of improvising your first few pieces, you follow a proven blueprint that maximizes the damage you can send early.

The Blox opener practice tool lets you drill any of the 148 openers in its library, from classics like TKI, DT Cannon, PCO, C4W, and Mr. T-Spin's STD to obscure meme setups. The chosen opener's placements are shown directly on the board while you play, with its source document alongside, so you can learn the exact shapes and piece order.

  • PC Practice to skip the opener and drill only the ending Perfect Clear (nth PC).

Which opener should you start with?

Classics like PCO (Perfect Clear Opener) and DT Cannon are great first choices because they are forgiving to learn and frequently land a T-Spin double or a Perfect Clear. Getting started (Quick guide)

  1. Open the practice client and pick an opener from the Choose Opener search.
  2. Watch the highlighted placements on the board and match them piece by piece.
  3. Use Reset on fault whenever you drop a piece, and try again until the opening flows.
  4. Once comfortable, set Random Opener and run the same drill for recognition.
  5. Take your setup into multiplayer and stack it against real opponents.
